The Moment An Angry Coventry Fan Had Enough Of His Team Losing
We’ve all been there. Pissed off after going 1-0 down to a supposedly ‘poorer’ opposition, you clench your fist in frustration or perhaps vent to your mate about the scoreline. It happens. That’s why we love football.
But during #Coventry City’s League Two clash against Forest Green Rovers last night, one #fan decided to take matters into his own hands, climbing over the advertising boards to tell a number of players how he really felt about their performance.
Just minutes after a Keanu Marsh-Brown strike put Forest Green ahead, this angry bloke stomped onto the pitch and the rest is well, a little embarrassing:

As you can see in the footage above, the referee stopped play, which gave the supporter a perfect opportunity to approach a number of Coventry players, including winger Christian Doidge, who attempted to calm him down.
Marc McNulty got involved in the madness, but after a massive earful of god knows what, captain Michael Doyle was the last player to receive a good talking too.
As the fan was dragged away, he slapped his chest towards the Richoh Arena support, but I can imagine it wasn’t well received by many.

This isn’t the first time a fan has ran onto the pitch in recent weeks, but it was far more enjoyable during Barcelona’s away trip to Sporting CP in September.
The fan, absolutely in his element at breathing the same air as arguably the greatest football to have graced the planet, gave Messi a hug and the player reciprocated, happily embracing the youngster as the world looked on.
Then, just before being escorted off the pitch by a steward, he did what we’ll all probably do if face-to-face with the magician and kissed his wand of a left foot and getting a handshake off Messi prior to being getting on his way.
The appreciation for Messi wasn’t exactly shared by the rest of the home supporters, who began to cheer for Messi’s long-time competitor, and former Sporting player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
What would we do without the antics of a pitch invader?
